One of the most significant Serbian medieval monasteries, relocated in 1967 to the shore of Bileća Lake ahead of the flooding of the old Trebišnjica valley.
Dobrićevo Monastery ranks among the most significant Serbian medieval monasteries, dedicated to the Presentation of the Virgin Mary. It originally stood right by the Trebišnjica River, on a site that today lies beneath the water.
Ahead of the flooding of the valley in 1967, the monastery complex was moved to its present location in the village of Orah, about 12 km south of Bileća, along the shore of the newly formed Bileća Lake. Today it is again an active monastery and a place of spiritual gathering for the faithful from across the region.
