Grebnice Stećci

The Grebnice-Bunčići stećci necropolis is located at Radmilovića Dubrava, in the village of Baljci near Bileća. It comprises 291 monuments and represents one of the best-preserved and scientifically most significant stećci necropolises in Republika Srpska.

Together with 27 other sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia, the necropolis was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016 as part of the serial property “Stećci Medieval Tombstone Graveyards”. The stećci here bear reliefs of spirals, rosettes and hunting scenes, testimony to the spiritual world of this region's medieval population.
